Bringing your own ideas and creativity to the Bar Manager role, you’ll help guide and elevate the guest experience beyond expectation. The Role As Bar Manager, you will take full ownership of the hotel’s bar and lounge operations, including the Cave Bar, Drawing Room, Domes, Restaurant and event spaces. You’ll lead service standards, drive commercial performance, and ensure a consistently exceptional guest experience across all outlets. Working closely with the Hotel Manager and wider Food & Beverage leadership team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the beverage offering, developing your team, and delivering a luxury-led, experience-focused operation. Main Responsibilities • Lead the day-to-day operation of all bar and lounge environments, ensuring luxury standards are consistently delivered • Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing bar team, leading from the front during service • Own ordering, stock control, cellar management, stocktakes, and supplier relationships across all F&B outlets and events • Deliver strong commercial results by managing budgets, GP, labour costs, and revenue opportunities • Create and maintain SOPs covering service standards, cocktails, presentation, guest engagement, and compliance • Drive an experience-led culture through ambience, storytelling, menu development, and seasonal activations • Support weddings, conferences, golf days and events with accurate forecasting, staffing, and operational delivery • Ensure full compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, food hygiene, COSHH, and Challenge 25 About You As a Bar Manager, you’ll be an experienced, confident hospitality leader with a passion for exceptional service, premium beverages, and team development. You’ll have strong commercial insight, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to inspire and motivate your team while delivering memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced, luxury hotel environment. • Proven experience managing bars or lounges within a quality hotel or luxury hospitality setting • Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wines, and premium beverage service • Demonstrable experience of stock control, ordering, inventory management, and GP control • Confident, hands-on leadership style with excellent communication and coaching skills • Commercially aware with experience working to KPIs, budgets, and performance targets • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and peak event periods Desirable, but not essential: • Experience managing multi-outlet or high-volume bar operations • Background supporting weddings, conferences, corporate or golf events • WSET, cocktail, or other beverage-related qualifications • Experience using EPOS, procurement or stock systems (e.g. Zonal, ProcureWizard, Fourth) • Previous experience within AA 4 or 5 Red Star hotel environments What’s in it for you?
