At Rookie Rockstars, we use music to promote mental health and wellbeing, and our retail shops play a vital role in supporting that mission.
We are now looking for a Retail & Community Engagement Manager to help lead, develop and grow our retail department.
About the Role
This is a new and evolving position, created to bring greater clarity, consistency and direction across our retail operations, while strengthening how we connect with our communities.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will have both strategic and operational responsibility for our retail department.
You will:
* Provide strategic oversight across all shop locations
* Support and guide Shop Managers in their day‑to‑day roles
* Drive consistency in standards, performance and brand
* Identify and implement new ideas and strategies to increase income
* Lead on community engagement, helping our shops connect locally
* Oversee and develop social media activity to promote our work
* Monitor performance and report regularly to the General Manager
This is a hands‑on role, based at our new Motherwell location, where you will work closely with teams and take a practical approach to improving performance across all shops.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

* A strong communicator, confident working with people at all levels
* Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
* A creative thinker with ideas to drive retail growth
* Passionate about community engagement and making a difference
* Comfortable using social media and digital platforms
* Able to support, influence and motivate others
Retail and/or leadership experience is desirable, but we are equally interested in attitude, initiative and a willingness to grow into the role.

Additional Information
This role will involve travel between shop locations, so flexibility is important.
A clean driving licence and your own car is desirable.
