Mechanical Assembly Technician Responsibilities:
* Assemble mechanical and electrical components to build complex UHV systems in line with detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
* Carry out specialist UHV-compatible wiring and electrical testing procedures.
* Maintain strict cleanliness standards in line with UHV cleanroom procedures.
* Record pre-test data and perform QC evaluations throughout the assembly process.
* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by writing and updating manufacturing guides and documentation.
* Maintain accurate departmental records including test data, serial numbers, and quality control logs for traceability.
Mechanical Assembly Technician Requirements:
* Prior experience to assembly – Mechanical and/or Electrical
* Resilient under pressure with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
* Comfortable working to tight production schedules and deadlines.
* Basic IT skills (MS Office).
* Self motivated, organised and punctual
Qualifications:
* Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or higher (HNC/HND/Degree preferred).
* Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience considered.
* Previous experience in a high-tech cleanroom or engineering environment is advantageous.
