Role Purpose:
You'll help create and deliver SunLife's content marketing strategy, taking time to understand our customers and our brand purpose to help us achieve our brand objectives. This will involve planning, optimising and distributing successful content, social & PR campaigns that build the SunLife brand and connect meaningfully with our audience, to be used across social networks, the SunLife website and for outreach purposes including PR.
Key accountabilities:
1. You'll manage agency, partner and key stakeholder relationships on content projects coming up with your own ideas, producing briefs and reviewing agency ideas and creative delivery. Ensuring the work meets the brief and pre agreed marketing objectives, maintaining a high-quality output and overall responsibility for the final delivery.
2. You'll manage your own content, social & PR projects, developing ideas that meet the brand strategy and overarching plans, including aligning with the acquisition campaign plans. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of these, including writing blogs and articles, managing the design of written and video content and developing comprehensive comms & distribution plans that ensure the content achieves reach against agreed KPIs (including social engagement, PR reach and web visits).
3. You'll be responsible for the creation of LifeHub content including written and video content produced by yourself, in-house Creatives and external suppliers. You will ensure that content meets the LifeHub content plan and use data to inform decisions on what new content to produce, based on how well it is being interacted with. You'll take inspiration from trends appearing externally in other content platforms to bring new ideas to the table.
4. You'll always be on the lookout for the best opportunities to answer customer needs, increase visibility of the brand and affirm SunLife as the go-to brand for key content. Including making use of SunLife's brand partnerships to develop shared content, PR and social content and comms opportunities.
5. You'll have an analytical and inquisitive approach, using tools such as Google Analytics, Brandwatch and Facebook Insights to understand and report on content performance. Plus monitoring competitors and social media trends to identify opportunities for development.
6. You'll be adept at working alongside a digital delivery team to brief in required website changes and suggest web improvements to drive up content engagement.
7. You'll be competent in developing and maintaining records for content & PR activity, including recording and analysing results to check that activity meets KPIs. Plus maintaining key finance, supplier and risk records and controls.
How you'll be successful (measures)
1. Ideation, creation and delivery of the content strategy across the year that integrates with wider business goals & delivers against measurable KPIs.
2. Producing high-quality, newsworthy content on time, to brief and on budget either yourself and via partners & agencies that meets agreed KPIs, including creation of blogs, press releases, product articles, reports and videos.
3. Monthly production of robust and insightful KPIs, and regular communication to share successes and milestones with the business.
4. Keep a keen eye on key competitors and social trends and flag anything of importance to the wider team with recommended actions.
5. Work directly with the Marketing team to ensure that product content is in line with wider business goals.
6. Follow up with digital delivery team on implementation of any content production or changes that sit on SunLife's website and LifeHub.
7. Evidence of on-going competence in financial promotion regulations where applicable.

Skills & experience required:
• Expertise and track record of delivery in content marketing
• Experience of rooting out great content, PR & social opportunities and delivering on them
• Creative thinker who can add value to propositions and ideas
• Confidence in sharing ambitions and successes with colleagues around the business
• Good social media and PR knowledge
• Interest in brands and marketing
• Interest in financial services and working in a regulated environment
• Proven project management skills and ability
