Bus Driver – Luton
Newstaff Employment is hiring experienced PCV Bus Drivers in Luton on behalf of a valued and well-established local transport provider. This is a fantastic opportunity for professional, customer-focused drivers who take pride in delivering safe, reliable passenger services. Multiple contract options are available, including Temp to Perm and Zero Hour arrangements.
Location: Luton
Salary: £16.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Earlies, Middles, and Lates (full shift coverage required)
Job Type: Temp to Perm (6-on / 3-off pattern) or Zero Hours

Key Responsibilities
1. Operate PCV buses safely and professionally on scheduled routes.
2. Provide excellent customer service to passengers at all times.
3. Maintain a smart appearance in line with company uniform standards.
4. Carry out pre-shift vehicle checks and complete relevant documentation.
5. Adhere to all driving, safety, and company regulations.
Essential Skills & Experience
6. Valid PCV (Category D) licence.
7. Up-to-date CPC qualification.
8. Smart, professional appearance from initial introduction.
9. Willingness to complete a Highway Code Q&A (basic level).
10. Ability to complete and pass a driven assessment (arranged with a designated driver assessor).
Contract Options
Temp to Perm – 6-on / 3-off pattern:
11. Regular shift rotation.
12. Opportunity for a permanent role, subject to performance.
Zero-Hour Contract:
13. Greater flexibility for drivers wanting adaptable working patterns.
14. Must be able to cover earlies, middles, and lates as required.
