This is a role for a Registered Nurse to work nights at Avery Healthcare's care home in Camberley. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to the residents, supervising the care team, and acting as the person in charge during the night shift.
Main duties of the job
As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for undertaking nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and managing chronic medical conditions. You will also advise families and GPs of any changes in residents' conditions, deploy and supervise the care team, and ensure all tasks are completed during your shift. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience, up-to-date knowledge of care, and excellent interpersonal and care planning skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as a Registered Nurse will be to act as person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required, and observe all instructions to act upon his/her behalf whilst ensuring high standards of care for our residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions.
* Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition that give rise to concern, and keeping them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
* Responsibility for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the duty period and residents receive required care.
* Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.

* Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
* Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years' experience and up-to-date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post-basic studies/qualifications.

* Have sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
