The Grange Offers Supported Living for autistic people and people with learning disabilities in Gloucester. Located in a quiet residential street in Gloucester, The Grange offers spacious accommodation and benefits from large communal rooms as well as two specially constructed ground floor annex rooms.
The staff team at The Grange are dedicated, highly qualified and experienced in helping to explore, support and reduce challenging behaviour. They focus on making sure everyone’s needs are met and that there is plenty going on to keep people occupied and happy.
Role Responsibilities
4. Encourage the people we support to participate in activities or follow their interests, this will involve assisting them in the community as well as helping them to attend appointments.
5. Assisting people to be as independent as they can, whether this be supporting them to learn to cook or prompting them to develop personal care skills
6. Encourage the people we support to follow their personal planned strategies to maintain their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
7. Ensure all records are update and procedures are followed at all times
Role Requirements
8. A good communicator and listener
9. A desire to support individuals with complex needs.
10. Good basic comprehension of English language including basic literacy and numeracy skills.
11. An ability to remain calm and level-headed even when faced with challenging behaviours.
12. A commitment to constantly providing the highest standards of care for the people that we support.
13. At least 12 months experience of working with people with Learning disabilities and Mental Health
