This is a full time permanent position working night shifts only.
As a Cargo Warehouse Agent, you will organize warehouse and storage facilities and arrange warehouse handling equipment and load/unload air cargo. You will maintain the required safety and quality standards as well as comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company policies.
This is a 37.5-hour per week role. Shifts are rostered to start between 12:00 AM and 1:30 AM and finish between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM. The first shift of the week typically begins at 11:59 PM on Sunday, and the final shift usually ends by 9:30 AM on Friday.

1. Loading and unloading air cargo onto vehicles and storage areas
2. Preparing and palletize cargo as needed
3. Ensuring paperwork related to the cargo is correct
4. Assuring proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment
5. Following Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations
6. Delivering air cargo to appropriate recipient if required
7. Providing special handling of live animals as required
8. Driving and/or operate specialist equipment which may include vans, fork lift trucks, cargo dollies/trailers.
9. Reporting all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager
10. Complying with all relevant legislation and airport authority and carrier security requirements
11. Complying with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
12. Maintaining the highest standards of safety and security at all times
13. Other duties as assigned

14. A full driving licence desirable
15. Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and public holidays)
16. Ability to speak and understand the English language
17. Ability to travel to the airport at times where public transport is not available
18. Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required
19. Willingness to work in inclement weather
20. Able to work in a manual environment and repeatedly lift up to 32kg throughout a shift
21. Able to work as a team in a fast paced environment
22. Previous experience working in an aviation environment desirable
