The Role
As one of our Premises Officers, you will provide a friendly and efficient service throughout the day to support the operational needs of our campus. Reporting to the Premises Supervisor and Estates Manager, and working alongside other members of the Estates Team, you will respond to day-to-day maintenance and caretaking needs, complete all maintenance tasks and jobs allocated through the College helpdesk system and undertake general college security duties and fire warden responsibilities when required.
This role has a rotating shift pattern Monday to Friday as follows:
Mon: 6:00-14:30
Tues: 6:00-14:30
Weds: 6:00-14:30
Thurs: 6:00-14:30
Fri: 6:00-14:00
Week 1: 6:00-14:30
Week 2: 13:30-22:00
Week 3: 13:30-22:00
Week 4: 13:30-22:00
Week 5: 11:00-19:00

About You
We are looking for someone with relevant experience in maintenance or building services, ideally within large commercial premises. You should be dependable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. You should have strong practical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to complete a range of maintenance tasks efficiently.
Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and occasional urgent requests is required. You should also have a positive attitude and be committed to contributing to a friendly, supportive, and community‑based environment.
