Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Service Manager to join their team based in Manchester JOB DETAILS PAY RATE: £42,500 - £47,500 Annual WORK TYPE: Permanent WORK PATTERN: Full Time LOCATION: Manchester JOB SUMMARYService Manager to lead a registered supported accommodation service for young people. You will hold legal responsibility for the service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, therapeutic support while driving performance, compliance, and positive outcomes. This is a leadership role where you will inspire teams, shape service delivery, and champion a culture built on strong values and continuous improvement. JOB DESCRIPTION The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the service
* Provide strong leadership, supervision, and development for staff teams
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture
* Manage staff using formal HR procedures
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
* Proven experience in a management role within supported accommodation or children’s services
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation
* Experience leading teams and managing performance
* Understanding of therapeutic approaches to supporting young people
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work flexibly, including participation in an on-call rota
