Job Description Head of Programme – Dreadnought Entry into Service Full time Derby The Head of Programme – Dreadnought EIS is a new role within Services to strengthen focus on Dreadnought as we approach transition into service and grow our support solution. The role offers a wide breadth of experience, interfacing with internal teams and functions as well as external partners and customers. Working closely with the Chief Lifecycle Engineer - Dreadnought, the Availability Centre within the Services DBU and the New Build & Components Dreadnought programme team you will deliver the programme to migrate ownership of Dreadnought Class Submarines into Services and deliver maximum service readiness. The strategy will exploit the benefits of combining the inherent PWR3 design robustness, emerging technology and in-service solutions to maintain Nuclear Steam Raising Plant (NSRP) safety and provide improvements in NSRP availability. What you will be doing You’ll lead, engage, and motivate the teams tasked with delivering Dreadnought into service to operate at the highest standards and deliver exceptional service, engaging the team in our mission and developing them to be the best they can be. The Head of Programme – Dreadnought EIS reports to the Programme Executive - Services and has line management responsibility for the programme management team to prepare for Dreadnought’s transition into service. The key accountability is to establish and implement a comprehensive integrated programme to prepare for Dreadnought’s transition into Service – including resourcing solutions to meet the demanding requirements of the programme. Responsibilities You’ll be responsible for delivering the full range of commitments made by Rolls-Royce Submarines to ensure the delivery of our requirements of the class transition and through life support programme. Act as the primary point of contact for Dreadnought Class into Service programme engaging and collaborating with external customers and wider enterprise stakeholders to achieve the best outcome. Ensuring that the relationships across organisational boundaries and functional workstreams are in place to secure the required resources and dependencies. You’ll be responsible for the full range of performance outcomes for the Dreadnought Entry into service programme, delivering the financial outcomes committed to the business. Ensuring the programme and contract data is maintained at the standard required to feed all company and customer expectations. Facilitate improvements and innovation in availability planning processes, methods, and capabilities. Ensure that the tools, techniques, and methods deployed on Dreadnought Class at in-service are optimised. Why Rolls-Royce?
