What's involved with this role: Chef Job Reference: JM 0909/2 Pay rate: £18.00 per hour PAYE 37 hours per week Contract Length: 12 months on site Location: Peterborough BPSS required - the successful applicant will under this screening Our client is currently seeking an experienced Catering Assistant/Chef to support catering operations. You will deliver high-quality food services across multiple sites and events, working closely with personnel and industry partners. This is a on-site role requiring flexibility, professionalism, and a strong commitment to high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer service. Key Responsibilities: Operating varied shift working patterns between daily food services, daytime & evening functions and bar services alongside possible reception and accommodation management duties Operate alongside client personal to ensure catering services are provided to employees Operate & comply with all relevant statutory legislation and local orders Undertake accurate cash handling and profit protection procedures Undertake stock taking procedure Undertake basic IT input tasks Undertake basic administrative tasks Ensure you are dressed correctly and adhere to the highest standards of hygiene Ensure the correct PPE is worn Adhere to all safe systems of work including UK food safety/Health & safety legislation and ESS safety systems & risk assessments Maintain the highest standards of customer service & hospitality Remain fully current in all required job competencies / KPIs as directed in local orders Maintain a high security awareness and reporting culture Essential Requirements: Food & beverage service/hospitality industry experience Strong communication and customer service skills. Food Safety Level 2 certification Desirable: Previous experience working in a military environment.
