We are not looking for Automation Test, QA, Software Test Engineers, SDETS or Test Engineers without SC and experience testing Embedded Systems, these are essential requirements
We are seeking an experienced security cleared (SC) Software Test Engineer with experience of testing real time embedded systems to support a growing Electronic Warfare programme, delivering cutting-edge defence technology within a well-established and mature engineering environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical embedded systems, contributing to both current and future defence programmes while collaborating with highly skilled engineering teams.
The Role
As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of complex real-time embedded software systems.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Security cleared to SC level is essential
* Strong background in testing complex real-time embedded systems.
* ISTQB Foundation level knowledge or equivalent testing experience.
* Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
* Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
* Defence, aerospace, or Electronic Warfare domain experience.
* Experience working within safety-critical or highly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Create test cases, test procedures, and automated test scripts for embedded systems.
* Perform integration, system, and regression testing on mission-critical software.
* Collaborate closely with software developers and systems engineers to identify, investigate, and resolve defects.
* Analyse test results and produce detailed reports with recommendations for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, processes and best practices.
