Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal/Lead Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) project for an innovative hydrogen process plant. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and client-facing experience to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical leadership and input for FEED projects in the control & instrumentation discipline.
* Prepare, review, and approve engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Allocate tasks and manage project deliverables against timelines and budgets.
* Oversee procurement and specification of control systems, instrumentation, and analyzers.
* Ensure adherence to relevant national and international codes, regulations, and standards.
* Conduct technical bid assessments and evaluate suppliers.
* Lead safety case preparation, including cybersecurity verification and validation activities.
* Support installation planning for instrumentation in potentially explosive environments.
Requirements:
* Degree in Electronic, Electrical, or Control Engineering (or equivalent experience).
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or close to achieving it).
* Extensive knowledge of UK legislation and standards relevant to process plant engineering.
* Strong problem-solving and leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
