We have an opportunity to join our Major Projects Maintenance team as an Electrical Distribution - Network Technician in Swansea. This a key operational role supporting the construction, maintenance, and repair of the South Wales overhead steel tower electricity network, up to and including 132kV.This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a high-performing team within a dynamic industry that is continually growing and evolving. You will be confident making on‑the‑spot decisions, able to communicate clearly, and capable of working under pressure to tight deadlines.You will have:Level 2 City & Guilds 2339 (essential)Level 3 City & Guilds qualification, or a willingness to undertake this if not already attainedExcellent practical hand skills and confidence carrying out hands‑on technical tasks.Computer literacy, with the ability to use digital tools and systems effectively.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.A flexible and proactive approach, adapting well to changing priorities.A full, valid UK/EU driving licence and mobility across the East Wales / West Wales area.Qualified as a Senior Authorised Person.Flexibility to undertake standby duties as operational needs require.Residency within approximately of the depot.Some National Grid roles involve working at height or the use of fall arrest equipment.
