About this Role
* Independent Learning Supervisor
* Zero hours contract - Salary Scale 5 point 9 (£14.13 per hour + holiday pay)
* We are seeking dependable individuals to join our existing team of Independent Learning Supervisors.
* You would be required to supervise students across all year groups in the teacher's absence.
* A good level of education and a confident manner is essential.
* Previous experience of working with young people and the ability to use Microsoft Office would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities
* Supervise students in the absence of their usual subject teacher.
* Have flexibility to provide cover at short notice.
* Provide clear direction to students and be effective in classroom management.
* Use Microsoft Office, including excel, word, PowerPoint and teams.
* Take class registration on SIMS.
* Have excellent communication skills and liaise with both staff and students in a friendly manner.
* Work well as part of a team and be able to take direction.
* Undertake all required training and follow school procedures.
This is a customer-facing role needing fluent spoken English.
All staff at Southend High School for Girls have a responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
