Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within a nurturing environment. Duties
* Organise and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
* Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, naps, and playtime
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times through vigilant supervision and adherence to health and safety policies
* Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment that encourages learning and exploration
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns
* Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities and share best practices in early childhood education
* Assist in managing administrative tasks related to child records and activity planning
* Support the management team in implementing policies related to childcare standards and regulations
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting is highly desirable
* Demonstrated management or leadership skills within a childcare environment is advantageous
* Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
* Experience with child development principles and early childhood education methodologies is preferred
* Valid driving licence is beneficial for roles requiring transportation or home visits
* Proven ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities when necessary
