As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll oversee financial aspects of high-end residential projects, from managing variations to preparing detailed valuations and final accounts. This role will see you apply your technical knowledge and strong problem-solving skills to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects. All the responsibilities we’ll trust you with You’ll play a central role in delivering the projects you’re assigned, guiding every commercial decision from procurement through to final accounts with confidence and precision. You’ll maintain strong control over variations, capturing every change, pricing it accurately, and ensuring it’s reflected in client accounts to protect both profit and trust. You’ll take charge of subcontractor partnerships, handling packages, re-measures, and payments with a balance of commercial rigour and a collaborative approach. You’ll bring clarity to the numbers, presenting monthly job cost analyses, cash flow forecasts, and final account projections that shape strategic decision making. You’ll be a key link between architects, clients, subcontractors, and site teams, safeguarding quality, maintaining momentum, and protecting commercial outcomes. You’ll keep budgets sharp and presentations of the highest standard, ensuring every subcontract and supplier order delivers value, and every final account meets professional and client-specific requirements. ​ Where you’ll be based You'll join our Central Region, where we undertake projects valued between £5m and £15m. Specialising in Grade II Listed properties, refurbishments and contemporary new builds, each project requires meticulous management and attention to detail. You’ll have a strong technical grasp of both traditional and modern building methods, applying this to refurbishment and new-build projects alike. You’ll hold a recognised qualification such as an HNC or a relevant construction-related degree. You’ll understand the essentials of property taxation and contractual law, applying this knowledge to ensure smooth and compliant project delivery. You’ll have strong numeracy and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret and clearly present complex cost data. You’ll be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and confident in using construction-specific IT packages and take-off software to support accuracy and efficiency. ​
