We invite applications for a highly motivated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) / Theatre Support Worker to provide essential operational and clinical support within our Theatres Department, specialising in high-quality eye care. This role is responsible for ensuring the theatre runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Provide pre- and post-operative patient care, including admission and discharge support.
* Prepare the surgical environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are correctly set up and maintained.
* Act as the circulating support member, assisting the scrub team during procedures.
* Manage necessary administrative tasks and monitor departmental stock levels.
Candidate Requirements
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrable experience as a caring and compassionate team player.
* Must possess proven literacy and numeracy skills (basic education standard).
* A strong understanding of, and commitment to, patient confidentiality.
* While previous theatre experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided.
