Organisation Overview
This organisation is looking to grow its procurement and supply chain function. In this position, you'll be responsible for driving business development and managing multiple projects from planning to delivery. You should be an experienced leader capable of mentoring a team of specialists while also delivering on your own and managing client expectations.
You should have a strong procurement or supply chain management background in either the public or private sector, ideally with experience across multiple verticals. You must be comfortable working with stakeholders up to C-suite level.
Your new role
* Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws, and regulations.
* Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance, and maintaining cost-effective practices.
* Implementing logistics strategies, tracking goods from origin to warehouse.
* Analyzing supply chain data, resolving issues, and developing contingency plans.
* Identifying and minimizing risks by predicting product demand and adopting new technology without interrupting processes.
* Managing inventory, packing, and distribution.
* Following up on accidents and injuries on the floor.
* Developing safety guidelines, training staff, and enforcing protocols.
* Supervising and training employees.

* Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.

* Leadership experience with a focus on mentoring and coaching.
* Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and regulations.
