Overview
Locum Consultant Vascular Surgeon appointment to the East of Scotland Vascular Network (ESVN). This post is a fixed term of 6 months and is available from March 2026. The appointee will join a team of NHS Tayside and NHS Fife consultants and will perform clinical duties within NHS Tayside and NHS Fife. The on-call rota is one in six with prospective cover for holidays and study leave. Both elective work and emergency cover will be for vascular surgical conditions only. The ESVN carries out a wide range of open and endovascular surgical procedures, including an established endovascular aneurysm service with fenestrated and conventional stent grafts jointly with radiology. Renal access surgery, surveillance and maintenance are well developed. Amputation rehabilitation and limb fitting are supported by a dedicated physiotherapy team. The Network has a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate training.

Responsibilities

* Engage in a wide range of open and endovascular procedures; participate in the endovascular aneurysm service (fenestrated and conventional stent grafts) with radiology.
* Support renal access surgery, surveillance and maintenance.
* Participate in amputation rehabilitation and limb fitting with dedicated physiotherapy support.
* Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate training within the Network.
