The Role
As Asbestos Project Manager, you will take responsibility for managing asbestos projects across the Midlands, with occasional work in London. You will act as the main point of contact for clients, coordinating internal teams and subcontractors to ensure work is delivered safely, compliantly, and to a high standard.
This role suits someone who is comfortable making decisions, communicating clearly with clients, and keeping projects moving without unnecessary bottlenecks.
Key Responsibilities
Being the main point of contact for clients throughout the lifecycle of each project
Attending project meetings and working closely with Project Coordinators to ensure smooth delivery
Preparing and reviewing Risk Assessment Method Statements
Managing the production, completion, and quality of asbestos survey reports and drawings
Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for completed work
Organising teams, resources, and schedules to meet both client expectations and commercial targets
Coordinating employees and subcontractors on site
Resolving operational issues and escalating to the Head of Asbestos where required
Providing technical input to support sales activity, including site visits for new work
Maintaining a professional, organised approach both on site and in the office
Asbestos Project Management Required Experience
BOHS P402 or RSPH Level 3 is essential
Full UK driving license
12+ months of experience work experience as an Asbestos Project Manager within a UKAS accredited consultancy
BOHS P403 & BOHS P404 would be beneficial, but Asbestos Project Managenet, hands on experience, is far more important
Confidence communicating with clients, surveyors/ analysts and office staff
Comfortable managing workloads, priortities and deadlinesWillingness and Flexibility
Some projects may require night work or variable hours
You may be required to manage and mentor surveyors and analysts
Occasional out of hours contact may be needed for live project matters
Travel across the Midlands, with occasional travel to London
