Responsibilities
* Implement and evaluate the Patient Plan of Care, collaborating with the healthcare team to promote positive outcomes.
* Act as a patient advocate.
* Implement nursing interventions promptly.
* Demonstrate clinical skills and technical competence.
* Use critical thinking to assess and communicate patient information effectively.
* Accurately document assessments, interventions, and responses.
* Assess safety risks and implement safety interventions, including fall risk and skin integrity measures.
* Supervise and delegate to staff appropriately, ensuring quality care.
* Assess educational needs and provide instructions to patients and families.
* Review and implement provider orders timely.
* Prioritize responsibilities, problem-solve, and manage time effectively.
* Seek additional clinical experiences, assist colleagues, and participate in unit initiatives.
Qualifications
ACLS certification preferred at hire or obtained within 90 days.
Skills and Competencies
Essential: Hospital or acute care experience, strong communication skills, confidentiality, crisis management, customer service skills, electronic health record experience.
Credentials
Essential: RN license, BLS certification, NIH Stroke Certification.
Education
Essential: RN Diploma or Graduate Program.
