The Role
We are working with an Outstanding-rated secondary school in Solihull to recruit a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher for a long-term supply role starting January 2026. You will be teaching History across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that bring the past to life and support strong academic outcomes.
The role includes full classroom responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessment, within a high-performing and supportive Humanities department. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a school with high standards, strong leadership, and motivated students.
The Candidate
We are looking for a committed History specialist who can inspire curiosity and critical thinking. You should be:
7. A qualified teacher with QTS (ECTs are welcome to apply)
8. Confident teaching History at KS3 and KS4
9. Strong in behaviour management and lesson organisation
10. Passionate about historical enquiry and exam preparation
11. A positive and reliable team player
