About Thebusinessunit: The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. We provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle, from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. We work with clients to deliver the energy transition globally.
Overview Of The Role
The Energy Transition team within our Energy unit is looking for multiple Project Managers to lead major multidisciplinary FEED and Detailed Design projects in this growing portfolio, supporting clients in the UK and across Europe. You will contribute to new and existing projects and help improve our project management processes, driving delivery excellence and efficiency.
The primary responsibility is to lead the delivery of multi-disciplinary design projects including civils, process, electrical, mechanical, protection and control, and secondary design disciplines.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
* Deliver Project Management for complex Energy projects such as OCGT and CCGT projects at feasibility, FEED and detailed design phases
* Deliver project scope to time, quality, and cost
* Build and manage relationships with senior client representatives and internal stakeholders
* Establish effective communications across the project delivery team
* Lead problem solving and decision making
* Control internal and external commercial aspects of the project under the contract
* Manage risk to the business and to the client
* Work on several projects concurrently to meet tight deadlines
Candidate specification
Essential
* Relevant engineering or management degree or relevant successful experience in project management of energy sector projects
* Proven delivery of multidisciplinary design projects
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
* Collaborative skills to work with cross-functional teams potentially located in different countries
Desirable
* Experience within the Energy sector
* Experience across all stages of the project lifecycle
* Relevant PM qualifications (eg PMQ, PMP, Prince 2)
