About the Role
Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Honiton. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive in a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
You will be working one-to-one or within small groups, supporting pupils with a range of needs such as:
* Autism (ASC)
* ADHD
* Speech, language & communication needs
* SEMH
* Cognition & learning difficulties

Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
* Assisting the class teacher with planning and adapting lessons where needed
* Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation using a trauma-informed approach
* Helping pupils engage with learning and develop confidence
* Creating a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for all learners
Requirements
* Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable
* A caring, resilient and patient nature
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
* An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Right to work in the UK
* Relevant training (e.g., Team Teach, Autism Awareness) is a bonus but not essential
