About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Services Lead to oversee and support our SaLT and OT teams across all West Kirby Educational Trust sites. This senior role combines clinical leadership, service development, and professional management to ensure the delivery of high‑quality therapeutic services for children and young people.
You will shape clinical provision, lead on caseload efficiency, support team development, and play a key role in the coordination and set‑up of a new outreach service within the local area.

Qualifications
* Highly developed auditory, analytical and perceptual skills essential
* Excellent problem solving skills and flexibility essential
* Excellent record keeping and report writing skills essential
* Develop and deliver training to colleagues and external partners as required essential
* Safe and effective prioritisation, planning and organisational skills essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential
* Able to provide clinically reasoned rationales for interventions based on evidence based practice and individual need essential
* Understand and promote holistic approach essential
* Knowledge of the principles and implementation of clinical governance / audit essential
* Knowledge of the appropriate use and choice of standardised and non-standardised assessments essential
* In depth knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions relevant to WKS population essential
* Working understanding of the importance of supervision and its operation essential
* Managing referrals / waiting lists
* Review / write policies and procedures
* Skilled at motivating and building rapport with CYP who have low self‑esteem, difficulties in building relationships and developing trust
* Developing creative materials and visuals for use in therapeutic/training sessions, tailored to different audiences
* Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and National Curriculum
* Awareness of current research / national policies for relevant specialism
* Knowledge of ACEs and trauma informed approaches
* Knowledge of how therapeutic interventions links with the objectives and demands of school based provisions
Experience
* Management experience of leading/developing teams essential
* Working with children/young peoples with SEN, particularly ASD essential
* Differential diagnosis; formulation of therapy plans; providing appropriate intervention(s); evaluating outcomes essential
* Carrying out formal and informal assessments, observations essential
* Developing outreach services & services to different providers essential
* Ability to write, co‑ordinate, implement and provide oversight of therapy plans written and delivered by others
* Ability to update EHCPs
* Delivering Training
* Experience of undertaking appraisals and planning CPD
* Knowledge of an outreach service
