The Role
As Head of Assessment Delivery, you will oversee the full lifecycle of assessment operations across our nationwide network. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will ensure assessments are delivered on time, to standard, and in line with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Leadership & People

Lead and manage Centre Managers and Trade Area Lead Assessors
*
Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance
*
Coach and develop team members, with succession planning in mind
Operational Delivery
*
Oversee efficient, compliant, and cost-effective assessment delivery
*
Monitor centre performance, quality, and capacity planning
*
Manage the launch of new centres and assessment bays
Brand & Experience
*
Ensure the learner journey and Construction EPA brand are consistently represented across all sites
*
Maintain high service levels that strengthen client relationships
Collaboration & Technical Expertise
*
Partner with Quality, Development, and Client Services teams to align processes
*
Provide construction-specific guidance on assessment content, webinar delivery, and facility design
*
Embed regulatory changes and updated assessment plans into delivery practice
About You
You’ll have the leadership credibility and sector knowledge to make an immediate impact. We’re looking for:

A strong construction background (essential)
*
Proven leadership experience within construction apprenticeships or EPA
*
Experience managing large, geographically dispersed delivery teams
*
Knowledge of working with CITB, BACH, AELP, or similar stakeholders
*
A relevant construction qualification
*
Assessing, teaching, or verification credentials
*
A leadership or management qualification (desirable)
