Job Overview
We are seeking a full‑time Band 8a Pathway Lead to join our busy and dynamic CAMHS team in Havering. This senior clinical leadership role will work within our Comprehensive and Behavioural Pathway, supporting a multidisciplinary team caring for children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
The Role
* Provide clinical and operational leadership at pathway level, combining advanced clinical practice, clinical supervision and consultation, MDT leadership and decision‑making, and support for pathway delivery and development.
* Work alongside colleagues in Emotional and Neurodevelopmental pathways, supporting the management of clinical complexity, risk and uncertainty, and embedding a formulation‑driven approach.
* Focus on clinical leadership and delivery, supporting the functioning of the pathway at team level.
* Accountability for pathway performance, strategic direction and system‑level development at senior clinical and operational lead level.
About You
Postgraduate qualified clinician (e.g. Family Therapist, Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or equivalent), registered with the appropriate professional body (e.g. HCPC, NMC, SWE, UKCP, BABCP).
You Will Bring
* Substantial experience working with children and young people with complex mental health difficulties within CAMHS or equivalent settings.
* Strong skills in assessment, formulation and evidence‑based intervention.
* Experience of providing clinical supervision, consultation or leadership to others.
* Confidence in MDT working and decision‑making in complex cases.
* A collaborative approach to working across health, education and social care systems.

Salary and Employment Details
This post also attracts payment for a High‑Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum £4,714 to maximum £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time) and is subject to a probationary period.
