We have an exciting brand new opportunity to join our Wind Tunnel Operations team at Aston Martin Formula One and play a key role in supporting the development of our race-winning cars. As a Graduate Wind Tunnel Operations Engineer, you’ll support the day-to-day operation of our state-of-the-art wind tunnel and assist in delivering high-quality aerodynamic testing. You’ll be involved in everything from maintaining critical systems and calibrating precision instrumentation to supporting innovative development programmes. This is a unique opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge aerodynamic testing facilities and contribute directly to Formula One performance. Please note this role is working on a rotational shift pattern, including early/lates. Key Responsibilities Operating and maintaining the wind tunnel to ensure reliable, high-performance testing. Calibrating instrumentation and ensuring accuracy before, during, and after test sessions. Assembling and maintaining test rigs for system verification and development work. Supporting the design, integration, and evaluation of new sensors and data acquisition systems. Recording and analysing test data to track performance and system health. Contributing to the development of new sensing technologies and testing methodologies. Supporting inventory management, parts tracking, and equipment. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise A degree or equivalent qualification such as Apprenticeship in disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Systems Engineering. Practical, hands-on experience with test equipment, instrumentation, or mechanical systems. This can be academic or in industry. Show flexibility and understanding in response to changing departmental needs and busy periods. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver high‑quality work under pressure.
