We are looking for an additional IT Service Desk Technician to provide technical support to internal
customers.
Primarily utilising independent decision making, the successful candidate will research, respond to, and
resolve IT problems. There is a strong focus on customer service as this position is the first point of contact
for IT users who require support and advice for IT and security matters.
Hours:
Full-time 39 hours per week
Key Duties will Include:
– Respond to customer support requests by telephone call, email, or tickets in a timely manner.
– Independently investigate, research, resolve and document end-user problems.
– Provide routine maintenance and troubleshooting of business equipment
– Maintain personal expertise in operation and application of standard workstation hardware and software.
– Assist senior team members in various projects.
– On-call weekend emergency support.
– Occasional travel to other depots if required.
The Ideal Applicant:
* A strong attention to detail.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.
* Good prioritization skills and the flexibility to adapt.
* A strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10, and Windows 11.
* The ability to work as one team, using their own initiative and helping and supporting colleagues.
* Broad knowledge of desktops, laptops, and other computer hardware.
* A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Client, Server, and Office platforms (including Teams).
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Tools and software
