Ocean Infinity is seeking a BoM Coordinator. They will be responsible for creating, updating, and managing the Bill of Materials (BoM) for products or projects within the organization. They ensure accuracy and consistency in the BoM to facilitate smooth mobilisation, inventory management, and cost control. They will work closely with the companies Payload Integration Team, Engineering Design Team, Procurement, HSEQ, Fleet Mobilisation and Operational Service Delivery. They will proactively showcase their work by engaging with the aforementioned teams. What will you do: BoM creation & maintenance – develop & maintain detailed BoMs for various products or projects; BoM review – identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or potential issues in the BoM. Produce & circulate industry standard BoM accuracy & completeness metrics on a weekly basis; Cost control – assist in cost analysis by tracking & reporting on costs associated within the BoM. Discuss possible cost saving ideas with wider stakeholders; Documentation – maintain organised & accessible records of all BoMs, revisions & related documents. Ensure compliance with industry standards & regulatory requirements in BoM documentation; Change management – manage change orders & updates to the BoM as product designs evolve. Communicate changes to relevant stakeholders & update the BoM accordingly; Cross-functional collaboration - Collaborate with different departments to ensure alignment between design specs., procurement needs & mobilisation requirements. Act as a liaison between engineering, procurement & mobilisation teams; Software & tools – utilise BoM management software and tools to create, update & maintain BoMs efficiently. Stay current with software updates & improvements. Who you are: Strong attention to detail and analytical skills; Knowledge of engineering processes and materials; High proficiency in BoM management software and tools (e.g. Solidworks PDM & MS Excel); Excellent communication and teamwork skills; Understanding of quality control and compliance standards; Experience in a similar role is often preferred; Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment; Open and receptive to new and different ideas; Comfortable presenting large amounts of data in a concise & clear format to senior stakeholder & be able to discuss possible decisions. Desirable: Expert user of Microsoft Excel & Visual Basic; Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; High level of proficiency in Product Data Management (Solidworks PDM) is highly desirable; Experience in a high integrity engineering field is desirable (e.g. automotive, aerospace, marine and/or defence). Salary for this position: Up to £35,000 per annum Salary : The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades.
