We are looking for a PR & Social Media Executive to support the development of PR and social media campaigns, assisting with the planning and delivery. Creating a news pipeline and social media content, as well as measuring and evaluating the success of campaigns and activity.

You will be accountable for:
1. Working closely with senior PR & Social Media Managers to develop PR and social media content plans.
2. Keeping up to date with key events, national days, media issues and retail news.
3. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to create a news pipeline and gather updates for PR stories and social media content.
4. Proactively researching new ideas and spot reactive opportunities.
5. Responding to media enquiries via the PR inbox, circulating urgent updates and raising any risks.
6. Drafting and researching news releases and developing social media content.
7. Creating briefs for the in-house studio team and lead on small content projects.
8. Supporting in delivering an influencer strategy for the brand.
9. Managing the journalist contact list.
10. Working closely with colleagues across the Brand & Communications Department on integrated marketing campaigns.
11. Leading the awards strategy; keeping the calendar updated, briefing in entry requirements to the internal copywriter, submitting entries, managing ceremony requirements and communicating wins internally.
12. Leading on our charity partnership; being the main point of contact, leading weekly calls and project managing initiatives.
13. Sharing PR and social initiatives with the internal team.
14. Supporting the PR & Social Media Manager in updating the KPI dashboard weekly and reporting.
15. Providing administrative duties, collating press clippings and social media content for reporting purposes, and updating the website news pages.
To be successful in this role we are looking for experience and skills including...
16. Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience with strong communication skills
17. Proficiency in all Microsoft office products – Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc
18. Previous experience in a PR or social media role
19. A passion for communications, PR and social-first campaigns
20. Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills
21. Excellent written and spoken English language.
22. Excellent planning and organisational skills
23. Experience in a communications-related role
24. Experience in a large, complex organisation.
25. Experience of working cross-functionally and working to tight deadlines.
26. Proactive and able to spot opportunities
27. Creativity in writing and execution of campaigns
