We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Support chefs with cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking various dishes.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
* Help with the setup and serving of meals during catering events or restaurant service.
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following all health regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.
* Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting any shortages.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles in catering or restaurants.
* Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food safety practices is essential.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are important for this role.
