Job Overview
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and innovative neonatal nurse to join our team as a Neonatal Ward Manager.
The base site for this role is Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
Key Responsibilities
* Supported by the Neonatal Matron, manage and develop nursing staff and services to provide professional and managerial leadership in the delivery of high quality, safe, cost‑effective care of babies, families and team.
* Demonstrate trust values and inspire and facilitate the development of staff by providing an open, supportive and encouraging environment in which all staff feel valued.
* Maintain clinical credibility and visibility; shift within the clinical rota, as agreed with the Matron, to ensure clinical skills are maintained and provide a varied experience to the post holder.
* Work collaboratively as a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent quality of care and the most positive experience for families possible.
* Manage all aspects of clinical standards and professional practice within the unit, coordinating staff, budget resources and environment, and help shape the future of the service supporting the Matron for Neonatal Services.
Qualifications
* Qualified in speciality neonatal nursing with experience at band 6 or above.
* Specialist clinical knowledge, communication and leadership skills.
* Support the organisation in the delivery of the highest quality of care.
