A fantastic opportunity has arisen in London to support several Supported Living services by managing voids in the service and bringing in referrals. The organisation is well established and supports people with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health issues. This is a fixed-term contract which will last 6-12 months but does have the potential to turn permanent.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Manager to work on an interim basis and offers hybrid working. This is an incredible charity with great growth opportunities and a fantastic reputation for providing quality care for service users.
Interim Operations Responsibilities:
* Perform detailed assessments of referrals, focusing on sensory and environmental needs, dynamic risk assessments, to evaluate their suitability for our accommodation and recommend suitable support packages.
* Monitor and respond to incoming referrals, ensuring timely and thorough assessments.
* Utilise innovative and accessible methods to conduct assessments, ensuring that individuals and their families can actively contribute to the process.
* Work closely with social workers and other stakeholders to gather relevant information and make informed decisions.
* Create individualised, outcome-focused support plans based on assessment findings, ensuring that each person receives tailored support.
* Develop and provide accessible information to individuals and their families to facilitate understanding and involvement in the assessment process.
* Keep precise and up-to-date records of assessments, decisions, and plans.
* Provide clear and compassionate communication with people, their families, and other professionals involved in their support.
* Support and coach local colleagues and teams to develop their skills and competency in conducting quality, thorough assessments.
Interim Operations Manager Requirements:
* Experience supporting vulnerable people.
* NVQ Level 3 in Social Care Management or equivalent.
* Experience supervising and motivating staff.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills.
* IT literate and confident in using different IT systems and packages.
* Willing to undertake required training, sometimes off-site and outside normal working hours.
* Willing and able to travel between locations as required.
* Available for flexible working patterns including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and nights.
* Able to undertake on-call duties on a rota basis.
* A driver to enable travel between services.
