Our Client
A well-established manufacturing organisation seeking a Reliability Engineer to join their Facilities and Maintenance team. This role offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Six Sigma methodologies, enhancing equipment reliability and optimising maintenance processes. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting operational efficiency, asset performance, and budget management within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement operator training programmes to enable autonomous maintenance and sustain equipment performance.
Design and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimise unplanned downtime and extend asset life.
Lead cross-functional teams in identifying root causes of equipment failures using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure new equipment meets reliability and maintainability standards through Early Equipment Management (EEM) processes.
Implement quality maintenance processes to support consistent product standards and reduce defects caused by equipment issues.
Apply TPM principles to administrative workflows to streamline maintenance and reliability activities.
Monitor budget performance, reporting variances and implementing corrective actions to maintain financial targets.
Use Lean Six Sigma techniques such as DMAIC, 5S, Kaizen, and statistical tools to drive improvements in maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
Analyse equipment performance data to forecast failures and recommend proactive maintenance strategies.
Maintain accurate records via Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Identify training needs and lead contractor activities safely and efficiently.
Experience and Qualifications
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or equivalent.
Relevant certification such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or equivalent.
Proven track record in reliability engineering within manufacturing.
Successful delivery of continuous improvement projects aligned with TPM and Lean Six Sigma principles.
Experience developing and implementing Reliability-Centred Maintenance strategies
Technical Skills and Competencies
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills
Proficient in data analysis tools and CMMS software
Ability to engage with all levels from operators to senior management
Detail-oriented, patient, goal driven, and accountable
