The Role - Technical Manager
As the Technical Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe and compliant delivery of all electrical and building services maintenance across the site.
You will lead a team of engineers while acting as the key technical point of contact for the client.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
* Lead and supervise electrical and multi-skilled engineers
* Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations (HTM, GMP, H&S)
* Oversee LV systems, switchgear, UPS, generators and critical plant
* Manage subcontractors and specialist contractors
* Ensure completion of EICRs, emergency lighting and compliance documentation
* Support audits within a regulated pharmaceutical environment
* Deliver technical reporting and KPI performance
* Drive continuous improvement across engineering services
Requirements - Technical Manager (Electrical Bias)
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Strong electrical background (essential)
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent
* 18th Edition (essential)
* Previous experience as a Technical Manager, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager or Lead Engineer
* Experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, data centre or critical environments (desirable)
* Strong understanding of compliance and safe systems of work
* Experience managing engineers and subcontractors
* Client-facing experience
Desirable Experience
* HV/LV Authorised Person (AP)
* Experience working within GMP environments
* Facilities Management (FM) background
* Experience on critical sites
