Our client is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join their well-established 4-bed children’s home supporting young people with EBD. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Registered Manager in leading and developing the team to deliver outstanding care
* Ensure the home meets all regulatory standards and maintains a safe, nurturing environment
* Contribute to care planning and behaviour management strategies
* Provide direct support to young people, promoting independence and emotional wellbeing
* Support staff development through supervision, training, and mentoring
Requirements:
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
* Ideally working towards or holding Level 5 in Leadership and Management - desirable
* Previous experience working in a children’s residential setting, preferably in a leadership role
* Strong understanding of EBD and trauma-informed practice
* A full UK driving licence - essential
