We are looking for a Business & Economics ECT to join an 11–18 secondary school in the Watford area from January 2026.
About the School
The school has an established Sixth Form, solid exam outcomes and a welcoming, inclusive ethos. The Business and Economics department is growing, with good uptake at KS4 and KS5 and strong backing from senior leadership for further development. ECTs are well supported with clear mentoring and induction.
The Role
* Position: Business & Economics ECT
* Location: Watford
* Start Date: January 2026
* Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
You will:
* Teach GCSE Business and support A-Level Business and/or Economics teaching.
* Use shared schemes of work and resources while learning the school’s systems.
* Receive weekly mentor meetings and protected ECT time.
* Support learners with exam technique, business concepts and extended responses.
* Be encouraged to contribute to enterprise clubs or activities over time.
What We’re Looking For
* Currently training towards QTS in Business, Economics or a closely related subject.
* Strong subject knowledge and genuine interest in business and economic issues.
* Willingness to reflect, adapt and learn quickly.
* Commitment to building positive relationships and high expectations.
