In the role of a Fire Protection Engineer, you will provide specialist engineering advice and interpret customer requirements for passive fire protection to produce estimates of FIRETEX product and specification needs. You will excel in effective communication, offering advice and estimates to customers, the sales team, and tracking projects to help "Team Sherwin" convert estimates into orders. You will build a reputation for service excellence, generating additional inquiries globally. This role is primarily office-based but can consider remote working. Qualifications
2-3 years of industry experience in construction, steel fabrication, steel drawings, engineering, steel erection, steel design & fabrication, MEP engineering, architecture, passive fire protection, or intumescent coatings. Experience as a site engineer, steel designer, engineering designer, R&D, quantity surveyor (QS/Estimator), or steel drawing checker is preferred. Proficiency with CAD, Tekla, PDS/PSMS, Microsoft Office, or any 3D BIM software is advantageous. B.E. in Civil (desirable) or Mechanical engineering. Ability to read and interpret structural engineering and architectural drawings, with broad knowledge of structural steelwork and general engineering principles. Confident in communicating with clients via phone or email to gather technical information for project quantification. Capability to advise customers on engineering solutions, including fire-engineered solutions (training provided). Ability to quantify steelwork materials in a listed format is beneficial. Basic knowledge of paint technology, especially regarding FIRETEX products, and understanding of passive fire protection principles are desirable. What We Can Offer…

Supporting the global sales team by estimating paint thickness and quantities needed for fire protection of steel buildings. Coordinating with the technical services team to understand specifications and select appropriate products. Learning to use software such as FDE, AutoCAD, Planswift, and Tekla. Gaining knowledge of steel structures, cellulosic and hydrocarbon fire, and fire engineering principles.
