Introduction
We are seeking a talented and hands-on hospitality manager to lead operations and develop the business at two wedding and events venues within the group:
* Pelham House, St Andrew's Ln, Lewes BN7 1UW
* Brookfield Barn, Winterpit Ln, Lower Beeding, Horsham RH13 6LY
Unique, beautiful, boutique venues operated by Artemis Venue Services, known for their elegant spaces, captivating gardens, and exceptional service. These venues have a strong reputation in the wedding industry. Direct line management responsibility: Events Managers of all grades, service staff, housekeeping, facilities & grounds maintenance.
Description
The Venue Operations Manager oversees a cluster of venues, responsible for all operational and financial aspects, reporting to the Executive Operations Manager and collaborating with Regional Operations Managers. The role covers the entire venue and events operation, including oversight of the kitchen and bars, managing onsite teams to deliver high standards in sales, events, and F&B service. This position is suited for someone who enjoys both strategic planning and hands-on involvement, ensuring the venues remain top choices for couples and guests.

Team Leadership and Management:
* Mentor senior deputies at each venue to meet daily operational needs
* Manage all events and service staff
* Recruit and induct staff across departments
* Provide ongoing training and mentorship for events staff
Operational Standards and Customer Satisfaction:
* Manage event operations, including shift work
* Maintain professional presentation standards
* Enhance customer experience through client meetings and event service reviews
* Implement service training and best practices
* Ensure compliance with licensing and planning conditions
* Respond to customer reviews and feedback
Financial Responsibilities:
* Drive catering revenues through client meetings
* Develop staffing plans within budget
* Monitor staffing efficiency during events
* Control non-F&B operating costs
* Manage capital projects and improvements
* Oversee payroll and T&A management
* Manage supplier relationships and negotiate best rates
