A well-established UK business operating across multiple industrial and environmental sectors is looking to recruit an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to join its busy transport and engineering team. With operations nationwide and a strong focus on sustainability, reliability, and operational excellence, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing organisation.The RoleWorking within a busy workshop environment, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of HGVs, trucks, trailers, and associated transport equipment to ensure maximum vehicle uptime and compliance standards are achieved.Key ResponsibilitiesServicing, maintaining, and repairing HGV trucks and trailersDiagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs efficientlyConducting vehicle inspections and preventative maintenanceCompleting pre-MOT inspections in line with DVSA standardsSupporting the maintenance of site transport and ancillary equipmentAccurately completing maintenance records and workshop paperworkEnsuring high standards of workshop housekeeping and health & safety complianceAssisting with breakdown support and ad-hoc maintenance tasks where requiredAbout YouQualified HGV Technician / Mechanic with a recognised qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)Previous experience servicing and repairing HGVs and trailersStrong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skillsGood understanding of DVSA regulations and workshop safety proceduresAble to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and time management skillsFull UK Driving Licence requiredClass 1 (C+E) licence advantageous but not essentialWhat's on OfferPermanent, full-time positionStable long-term career opportunityCompetitive salary packageOngoing training and developmentSupportive team environmentOpportunity to work for a nationally established organisation with a strong industry reputationTo apply, please send a copy of your CV and a covering letter to alex. drury @ nmsrecruit. com or, alternatively, submit your application via the link belowImportant Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
