ResponsibilitiesAssembly and Maintenance: Assemble, disassemble, inspect, and perform preventative maintenance on drilling tools and associated equipment according to technical specifications and procedures.Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in electronic circuitry, components, and systems using various test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.Testing and Calibration: Conduct functional tests, performance evaluations, and calibrations on equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturer specifications.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed service records, calibration logs, and repair documentation. Generate reports on work performed and equipment status.Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and engineering instructions to facilitate assembly and repair processes.Collaboration: Coordinate efforts with other technicians, engineers, and field representatives to resolve complex issues, support failure analysis initiatives, and ensure seamless equipment deployment.Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining an organized work environment and managing inventory of electronic components, parts, and supplies.Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and quality procedures to ensure safe work practices. QualificationsA technical school certificate in electronics, electrical technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.5+ years of experience working with electronics, preferably in an industrial or oilfield environment (Ideally with drilling tools such as RSS, LWD, MWD etc). Required SkillsProficiency in using electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) and hand tools.Soldering skills (wire harness, surface mount and through-hole).Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.Basic computer literacy and familiarity with diagnostic software for data entry and analysis.Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and reporting.
