What is the job about?
Our vision is to drive a transformational change in global energy behaviour, helping companies decarbonise towards a greener, cleaner, business landscape. Our Project Manager will support our governance and control around various improvement, transformation, and evolving initiatives.
You will be responsible for the planning and facilitation of the ClearVUE governance model, controlling the inputs and outputs of senior meetings, alignment, and quality checking of KPI reporting up to Board level.
You will develop and implement the project control plans for projects of moderate size and complexity. You will be working hand in hand with the operations and services teams, therefore building strong relationships and networks will be key.
What exactly will you do?
* Monitor overall project / assignment progress status, achievement and non-achievement of major milestones and analyse and forecast performance in relation to plan.
* Identification, monitoring, and reporting against the programme’s critical path providing early warning to the Head of Transformation of any potential slippages.
* Implement a local risk management framework and process that aligns to the central Risk register.
* Report project status and core KPI’s to management in line with the governance model.
* Facilitate collaboration and Good Practice sharing amongst stakeholders and operational areas.
* Develop and maintain project delivery processes and tools to be utilised by Service teams.
* Ensure the Transformation share point is maintained and controlled.
* Build and maintain relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
* Collate and Produce regular reports to establish board level packs.
* Delivery of smaller initiatives that contribute to the overall transformation plans.
What we’re looking for
* Prince2 or APM Qualified or Project Controls equivalent.
* A recognised project or programme management qualification.
* Extensive experience in a project role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
* Significant experience and capability in management of, budgets, controlling costs, planning, scheduling, and change control.
* Understands the use and applications of Project Controls department tools and systems.
* Ability to think analytically, conceptually, and adaptively, and make sense of new information across multiple levels of detail.
* Able to address conflicts and facilitate timely resolution builds collaborative relationships, engages others, and fosters teamwork.
* Able to foster development of a common vision and collaboration among team members and teams across geographical and cultural boundaries, promotes open expression of ideas, encourages, and empowers others to achieve.
Bonus points
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience).
* Experience in the Utilities/Energy industry
* Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
* Extensive experience in project control, PMO or planning positions,
* Significant experience and capability in management of, budgets, controlling costs, planning, scheduling and change control.
* Understands the use and applications of Project Controls department tools and systems.
* Ability to think analytically, conceptually, and adaptively, and make sense of new information across multiple levels of detail.
* Able to address conflicts and facilitate timely resolution builds collaborative relationships, engages others, and fosters teamwork.
