Solent View Medical Practice is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and patient‑centred Salaried GP for 4–6 sessions per week to join our forward‑thinking friendly practice in Lee‑on‑the‑Solent, Hampshire. We are a well‑organised practice with a strong focus on providing safe, high‑quality care and staff wellbeing.

Solent View Medical Practice is located within the Lee‑on‑the‑Solent Health Centre on Manor Way PO13 9JG. We proudly provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care to a growing list of 13,000 patients, with a strong focus on continuity for individuals and families of all ages.
We are a warm, enthusiastic, and supportive team with a clear patient‑focused ethos and a strong culture of collaboration. Our multidisciplinary workforce includes GP Partners, a Salaried GP, ANPs, Paramedics, a Physician Associate, Practice Nurses, HCAs, and a wide range of PCN ARRS roles.
As a training practice, we support the development of future clinicians by hosting F2 and ST2 doctors, as well as student nurses. We are committed to ongoing professional development and actively encourage progression across all roles.
We work closely with our neighbouring practices in Gosport PCN with access to Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, First‑Contact Practitioners, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Social Prescribers and Care Coordinators to strengthen capacity and maintain consistently high standards of patient care.

Job Responsibilities
* Conduct face‑to‑face and telephone consultations for patients with a wide range of health needs.
* Carry out home and care home visits as required. The practice is supported by the PCN Visiting and Frailty Team.
* Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions in line with evidence‑based guidelines.
* Participate in the duty doctor/triage rota.
* Prescribe safely and effectively in accordance with local and national guidelines.
* Manage clinical administration, including referrals, repeat prescriptions, test results and correspondence.
* Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
Practice Participation
* Attend and contribute to practice and clinical governance meetings.
* Contribute to quality improvement, audit, and service development initiatives.
* Support practice objectives including QOF, enhanced services, PCN or ICB programmes (as applicable).
* Support and supervise clinical and administrative team members.
Professional Development
* Maintain professional standards in accordance with GMC Good Medical Practice.
* Participate in revalidation, appraisal and continuing professional development.
* Provide clinical teaching and support to students, trainees and other healthcare professionals where relevant.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience working in a primary care environment.
* Excellent clinical judgement and consultation skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good time‑management and organisational ability.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable
* Experience in audit leadership, mentoring or extended roles (e.g., women’s health, mental health).
* Familiarity with enhanced services and local healthcare initiatives.
* Knowledge of QOF, clinical governance, and NHS primary care contracts (GMS/PMS/APS).
* Competent use of clinical IT systems Emis Web, Docman, Accurx.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
* Inclusion on the NHS England Performers List.
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent (e.g., JCPTGP/CCT).
* Membership of a recognised defence union (e.g., MPS/MDU).
* Eligibility to practice in the UK independently.
Additional
* Commitment to NHS values, quality, diversity and patient safety.
* Willingness to participate in practice meetings, training and governance activities.
