About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and qualified Pharmacy Technicianto join our Pharmacy Team at Timaru Hospital on a fixed-term basis to coverparental leave. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working in a collaborativehospital environment where patient care is at the centre of everything we do. The hours of work will be across five days, Monday to Friday morningscommencing at 8.30am.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play an integral role insupporting the delivery of safe and effective pharmacy services across thehospital. Working alongside pharmacists and wider clinical teams, you willcontribute to medication dispensing, stock management, ward support, andpatient-focused care. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunityto further develop your hospital pharmacy experience within a supportive teamenvironment.
Our ideal candidate will be a positive team player withexcellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a genuinepassion for healthcare and patient wellbeing. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and be confident building relationships with colleagues,patients, and clinical staff alike.

* Arecognised Pharmacy Technician qualification and relevant registration(where applicable)
* Previouspharmacy experience, ideally within a hospital setting
* Strongattention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Theability to work effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment
* Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills
* Strongcustomer service skills and empathy towards patients
* Goodcomputer literacy and confidence learning new systems
