Site Agent – Plymouth
VolkerStevin is an industry‑leading civil engineering business. We are looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to join our team on a long‑term framework based in Plymouth.

About the Role
As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects on site, managing operations, coordinating teams and subcontractors, and ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications
* Strong background in civil engineering project delivery
* Experience working in a port or marine environment
* Expertise in concrete structures and heavy civil works
* Excellent leadership, planning and organisational skills
* Commitment to high standards of health, safety and environmental performance
* Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering
* Minimum 5 years as a Site Agent
* CSCS Site Manager
* SMSTS certification
* First Aid certification
* Full Security clearance – UK National essential
Key Accountabilities
* Programme performance of the project across all stages
* Commercial performance (including change control) across all stages
* Accurate completion of Monthly Project Review Dashboards and associated reporting
* Management of all risks and opportunities
* SHEQ performance of the project
* Procurement and supply chain performance
Responsibilities – Construction
* Organise enabling works and site mobilisation, including site set‑up, with support from the site team
* Ensure HSEQ pre‑start meeting is held
* Prepare, maintain and review the Site Management Plan throughout the construction phase of each project
* Develop initial Temporary Works Schedule and include it within the Construction Programme; progress initial designs to support start on site
* Provide input to civils procurement enquiries – specifically scope, programme, and management provision
* Produce Monthly Progress Reports
Responsibilities – Quality
* Establish and embed Quality Ripple at all sites
* Administer Shared Data Environment correctly in line with company procedures
Responsibilities – Commercial
* Maintain accurate records to manage change process and variations
* Complete Monthly Client Progress Reports
* Attend client meetings
* Monitor resource requirements
* Ensure monthly Project Review Dashboards are completed
* Maintain robust commercial forecasts, risk/opportunity registers and Contract Review Action Logs
* Manage risks and opportunities
