Business Development & Key Account Manager, North Down, £45k bonus Hours of work Monday to Friday 9-5 We are working with a food producer and processing company who are seeking a business development / key account manager to join their busy team. This position is focused on driving new business growth and maximising revenue by developing new accounts, managing key customer relationships, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver profitable, sustainable sales. In this role you will be - Identify and develop new business opportunities Prepare and present sales proposals and commercial submissions. Attend industry exhibitions and networking events Maximise sales revenue, margins, and profitability across all accounts. Monitor customer profitability, working closely with the Cost Accountant. Manage and grow existing customer accounts Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and met. Lead customer onboarding, addressing shelf life, production MOQs, logistics, and service expectations. Upsell and cross-sell products within existing accounts. Produce weekly sales reports Manage SLAs, contracts, customer questionnaires, audits, and site visits. Work closely with technical teams to manage customer complaints Collaborate with NPD to introduce new products and concepts to customers. Support PR and marketing campaigns in conjunction with senior management. Any other ad hoc duties You will need - 5 years experience in a similar role Strong commercial awareness and understanding of profit & loss Proven ability to develop new business and manage key accounts In-depth understanding of the food manufacturing industry Able to work effectively with technical, NPD, finance, and marketing teams Demonstrates commercial foresight and the ability to anticipate customer and business needs.
