Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager is a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, overseeing high-volume daily operations and the dispatch of over 2,000 jobs weekly to a remote team of 120+ mobile fitters across the UK. This strategic leadership role is instrumental in upholding our core values of safety, compliance, and process excellence. The ideal candidate is a process-driven and analytical leader who can leverage data to optimize performance across multiple locations, designing and implementing operational processes and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure efficiency and meet customer SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

* Operational Excellence, Safety & Compliance:
Design, manage, and roll out operational processes and Standard Operating Procedures business-wide. The ability to ensure these processes are diligently followed is critical to the success of the business, as it maximizes efficiency, helps get things right the first time, and ensures compliance with all internal policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
* Team Leadership & Communication:
Serve as a collaborative leader, recruiting, training, and mentoring a high-performing team. Foster open and transparent communication to break down silos and bring different teamstogether, ensuring everyone is aligned with business-wide goals. Conduct regular meetings and provide clear, constructive feedback to drive unified performance.
* Dispatch:
Responsible for the dispatch of over 2,000 jobs per week to 120+ mobile fitters located across the UK to meet customer SLAs, and to ensure jobs are completed safely and in compliance with all relevant standards.
* Fleet Management:
Oversee the management and maintenance of the company's fleet of vehicles to ensure they are fully operational and compliant with all safety standards.
* Problem-Solving:
Proactively identify operational issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Use data and metrics to make informed decisions, often on an urgent basis.
* Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for operational matters, providing clear, concise reports to senior leadership and collaborating effectively with other departments to support cross-functional projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Proven experience in an Operations Manager role or a similar leadership position.
* Proven experience managing operations across multiple locations.
* Strong understanding of business and financial principles.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage remote teams.
* Exceptional organisational and process management skills, with a focus on ensuring safety and compliance.
* Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics to make data-driven decisions and optimise performance.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate key processes to multiple stakeholders

Education and Experience

* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
* Experience using Power BI to deliver data-driven insights and improvements.
* Demonstrated track record of improving operational efficiency and achieving business targets.
* PRINCE2 or Six Sigma certification is a strong plus.
